This project involved the editorial refinement and layout finalisation of an educational dossier for ACACA. The visual identity, type system and written content were already established, and my role focused on improving structure, hierarchy and overall clarity while integrating the organisation’s graphic elements consistently throughout the document.
The client approached me with a 30 page educational dossier for an art workshop, with roughly 60 percent of the layout already in place. The visual identity, fonts and design language had been fully established earlier, and the content had already been written in German. My task was to complete the layout, refine the structure and bring clarity and consistency across the entire document.
The original file required stronger visual hierarchy, cleaner spacing and more consistent use of the identity elements, particularly the bubble motif that ACACA uses throughout its materials. The client wanted the final design to feel more cohesive and to have more visual interest, while still ensuring that the text remained the focus.
Because the dossier was written entirely in German, a language I do not speak, the project also required careful communication and interpretation. I relied on visual cues, structure, and close dialogue with the client to ensure that every section was understood and treated accurately.
The brief was clear: complete the document, refine what was there, respect the existing brand guidelines and produce a clean, readable and fully consistent final version.
